Independence Month

July 16, 2007

Are you still burdened with clutter, late bills, no money and lots of stress?  This month, we celebrated our national Independence Day.   Don't you think it's time to start the process of your personal independence?  Millions of people are weighed down by the physical and financial clutter in their lives.  Lack of goals and plans to attain them are things that hold you back from making your dreams come true.  Just as our country broke away from the oppression of Great Britain, you can break away from the oppression of your unorganized circumstances.

1.  Make your mind up and make a verbal declaration of your own.  Refuse to live in disarray any longer.

2.  Make a written commitment.  This will state that you are not going to be a slave to your circumstances anymore.  Chaos County Organizers will have a sample on the website for you to use as a guideline.  Sign it and stick to it, just like it was a contract.

3.  Post your contract where you can see it daily.  Out of sight, out of mind, right?

4.  Make a list of set goals with reasonable time frames to accomplish them.  Enlist some help if you need to.  I person nicely motivating you will help you press on when you don't feel like it anymore.

5.  Schedule your organizing time on a calendar that you look at daily.  Treat your organizing session "appointments" as though they were doctor's appointments or some other appointment you wouldn't miss or be late for.

6.  Be patient.  Getting yourself organized will take some time, but the end result will be well worth it.  You will finally be liberated and enjoying the things you want to enjoy.
