On the first day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Make sure you mail your Christmas cards out." On the second day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Decorate your home."
On the third day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Finish gift shopping." Beat the last minute shoppers by getting your shopping done early. It's less frustrating.
On the fourth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Wrap all your presents." Mail out the ones that need to get mailed so they will arrive in time for Christmas.
On the fifth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Make room for new things." Clean out your closets, cupboards, and your kids toy chest because there will be a lot of new things coming in."
On the sixth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Donate your old things." When you have clothes, toys, dishes, small appliances, etc. that you don't use anymore, donate them to Good Will, the Salvation Army, or some other place that helps those in need. Not only will you be clearing your clutter, you'll feel good that your kindness will be meeting the needs of someone less fortunate.
On the seventh day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Plan the Christmas meal." Go through your pantry and cupboards to make sure you have all of the ingredients. If visitors will be coming, see if anyone wants to bring a dish to share.
On the eighth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Go shopping for the meal." If you don't have all the ingredients you need, shop early so you'll be prepared.
On the ninth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Clean up the house." A couple of days before Christmas get your cleaning out of the way. There's no sense trying to get everything done the night before.
On the tenth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Check your cameras." Make sure you have plenty of film and batteries to capture all those lovely holiday moments.
On the eleventh day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Prepare the treats." Get as much of the cooking as you can done and out of the way. Cookies, pies, and other yummy treats will keep nicely.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my organizer said to me, "Delegate some jobs." so one person is not doing all the work. Preparing for Christmas can be hectic, but so much fun. Make sure you have plenty of help doing the less fun stuff: Clean up!
Enjoy your holidays. Enjoy your friends and family. Enjoy all the fruits of your labor. Happy Holidays!
